Edwards Canvas started the way a lot of good things in Oklahoma do — with hard work and a little space to do it. In 1957, Clayton Edwards began building hay tarps and small covers out of his father’s carpet shop in Pauls Valley, working side by side with his wife. Quality craftsmanship and an honest reputation did the rest. The business grew, and by the 1970s it had moved into its first commercial location in downtown Pauls Valley.
Nearly 70 years later, that small family operation has grown into a trusted manufacturer with more than 30 employees working out of a large facility on the outskirts of Pauls Valley. Through every bit of that growth, one thing hasn’t changed: Edwards Canvas has been family owned and operated since day one.
